UrbanStall is where a customer in a small city orders from a local stall. The line on the home page is Bharat ka SuperApp. The stalls belong to the shops. Lawazia runs the platform. Ambika Rasoi is Lawazia's own kitchen, and customers order it on UrbanStall the same way they order any other stall.

The stalls belong to the shops. Lawazia runs the platform. The blog is not the shop.

The pictures in this post are drawings. They are not photographs of a city, a rider, or a shop.

Pick a city

Open urbanstall.app. The home page asks you to pick a city. The dialog title is Select Your City. The cities on that picker are Dumka, Godda, Deoghar, Jamtara, Pakur, Sahebganj, Jarmundi/Basukinath, and Mahagama. Dumka is the city the page uses when no city has been chosen yet. After a choice, the site remembers it and opens that city, for example Dumka.

The home page

The heading on the page is Welcome to UrbanStall. Under it, the page says Bharat ka SuperApp. A line of words turns through what the app says it is delivering: Groceries, Home Decors, Medicines, Food Items, Bakeries, and Gifts. The city you picked sits in a yellow chip. Tap it and the city dialog opens again.

The tiles

Under the heading What are you looking for today? the page groups stalls. Food & Beverages is the wide card. Its line says: Order delicious meals, snacks, and drinks now. The grid under it is Groceries & Essentials, Fruits & Vegetables, Cakes & Bakeries, Dairy & Sweets, Meat & Fish, and Gifts & Flowers. A lower row is Venue Halls, with the line Book halls & event venues; Rooms, with the line Hotel & short-stay rooms; and Laundry, with the line Per item · Pick-up & delivery.

Each tile opens a list for the city you picked. Food in Dumka is Food & Beverages. The same pattern is used for the other tiles and the other cities. A stall shows on that list when it is approved, it is not on vacation, and it carries the tag for that tile. The list the customer sees is the live one. It changes when a shop closes for the day or goes on vacation.

From the stall to the door

A stall page has the shop's name, the address on the listing, the tags the shop uses, and the note the shop wrote. From there the customer adds items to a cart. Payment on UrbanStall is cash on delivery or online through Razorpay. A rider from the city partner brings the order.

Where it started

UrbanStall launched in Thane in 2018. Dumka started in January 2019. A city partner runs Dumka, Godda, Jamtara, and Sahibganj. The city picker spells Sahibganj as Sahebganj. Jarmundi is run by the company. The picker also lists Deoghar, Pakur, and Mahagama. A partner's job in a city is the ground work: staff, duty, riders, and the day's collections. A merchant's job is the stall itself: the catalog, the inventory, and pending orders.

Two kinds of partner sit on the same platform. A city partner runs merchants and riders in one place. A vertical partner runs one lane. Ambika Rasoi is the kitchen lane that is live: Lawazia's kitchen, selling through UrbanStall. Ads, quizzes, and the insurance portal are other doors. They are not the stall list on urbanstall.app.

The public site is https://www.urbanstall.app. Sign-in is at urbanstall.app/login. The page title there says Sign in with your phone to manage your stall. The form says: Use the mobile number on your UrbanStall account. It asks for a 10-digit mobile number, then a 5-digit code. The side of that page calls UrbanStall Your Digital Marketplace and says Manage your stalls and profile with ease.

A stall listing is a small set of fields the shop filled in. The name is the name on the card. The address is the place the listing stores. The tags decide which tile the stall appears under. The note is whatever the shop wrote about itself. Some listings also carry a short type line, such as Family Restaurant or Gift Shop. The public page does not add a review the shop did not write. If the note is empty, the page still shows the name, the place, and the tags.

Who does which job

The people on the platform split by the job in front of them. A customer picks a city, opens a tile, and orders. A merchant keeps the stall: the products, the stock, and the orders that are still pending. A city partner runs the riders and the collections for that city. A rider's job is the delivery they are assigned while they are on duty. Super admin work, such as approving a stall, stays inside UrbanStall.

The merchant side also has an offers tab. The three kinds named there are a standard percent, a higher percent on a large order, and free delivery funded by the merchant. This post does not quote a rate. The rate is whatever that stall has set.

Customers can hold UrbanCoin. It is optional. It sits beside the order. It is not required to browse or to place an order.

Cash on delivery can be blocked for a customer. That is a control on the account, not a change to the stall. When online payment is used, it goes through Razorpay. The rider who delivers is attached to the city partner, not to Lawazia as a separate fleet with its own brand.

Website and the apps

The same engine is what the website and the phone app talk to. The website is the public browse at urbanstall.app. The Android package is com.lawazia.urbanstall. The iOS app id is 1357209470. A customer can look through stalls on the website without treating the blog as the shop. The shop is the city page and the stall page.

A city with a partner can still have an empty tile. Rooms or laundry can show no stalls while the food list is long. The tiles stay on the home page either way. The list behind a tile is the stalls that are approved and open.

The blog is a separate page on the same site, at urbanstall.app/blogs. It is not the shop. Orders still start from the city page and the stall page.

Support for the product is support@urbanstall.app.
